A mass shooting in Trenton, New Jersey has left two people dead and nine others injured after gunfire erupted at a late-night gathering.
The incident occurred around 12:25 a.m. on August 30, 2026, along the 100 block of Locust Street. According to police, a total of 11 people were shot when violence broke out during what is believed to have been a neighborhood cookout.
Emergency responders transported multiple victims to nearby hospitals, where two individuals were later pronounced dead. The remaining victims are receiving treatment for various injuries.
Authorities were seen securing the area and placing numerous evidence markers at the scene as part of an ongoing investigation. A vehicle connected to the incident was also towed from outside Capital Health Regional Medical Center.
