Gloria Tolulope Ukattah (December 15, 2004 – August 25, 2026) has been remembered in a published obituary as a beloved daughter, sister, student, and friend whose life left a lasting impact on those around her.
Born in Los Angeles, California, to Henry and Christiana Ukattah, Gloria was described as a devout Christian who grew up in a faith-centered home. She was widely remembered for her kindness, warm personality, and passion for using creativity—through writing, poetry, music, and art—to share her Christian faith and encourage others.
Academically, Gloria excelled throughout her education. She graduated from Rowlett High School with a 4.48 GPA, ranking among the top of her class, and also earned an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences from Dallas College while still in high school. She later continued her studies at the University of North Texas, where she double-majored in Computer Science and Psychology and was involved in student leadership through the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). She also worked as a Bioinformatics Intern at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Beyond academics, she was active in several faith-based communities and ministries, including roles in church fellowships and creative outreach initiatives. She founded The Poets Cornerstone, a ministry focused on expressing faith through poetry and the arts.
She is survived by her parents, Henry and Christiana Ukattah, and her sister, Julia Ukattah, along with extended family and friends who continue to honor her memory.
A funeral service is scheduled for August 30, 2026, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel in Allen, Texas, followed by a committal service at Ridgeview Memorial Park.
