MANOR, Texas — Two people were killed and another person was injured following a serious two-vehicle collision that occurred Saturday afternoon in Manor.
Authorities reported that the crash happened at approximately 2:58 p.m. at the intersection of E US 290 Highway Westbound and Old Kimbro Road. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and confirmed that the driver and front-seat passenger of one vehicle were pronounced dead on site.
A child from the same vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The extent of the child’s injuries has not been fully disclosed.
Following the crash, westbound lanes of US 290 were temporarily closed between FM 1100 Road and Old Kimbro Road, while Old Kimbro Road was also shut down at the intersection to allow investigation and cleanup.
Local authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
