NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — The Newport News Police Department is asking for public assistance in locating a man wanted in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that occurred in April 2026.
Police say the incident happened around 2:23 a.m. on April 3, 2026, near Davis Park Drive and Jefferson Avenue, when a woman was struck by a vehicle. She was seriously injured and later died in hospital.
Following an investigation, authorities identified a suspect vehicle and charged 42-year-old Antonio Jamar Wilson, who has a last known address in Hampton, with felony hit-and-run causing death. Police have not yet located him and are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward.
Officials say tips can be submitted anonymously, and a reward of up to $1,500 may be available for information leading to an arrest.
